Jade Frankincense Oil, the pure Omani frankincense at the heart of Inner Sanctum Meet the frankincense at its heartThe pure frankincense at the heart of this blend, on its own
What it is

A hand-blended anointing oil. Omani frankincense in three distillations, Indian sandalwood, a breath of rose and jasmine, a whisper of labdanum and oud. Pure, concentrated botanical oil, no alcohol, nothing synthetic. 3 ml in glass, in a velvet box.

Shipping & returns

Ships from our warehouse in Poland the next working day. Order over a weekend and it leaves Monday. Thirty days to return it for a full refund if the bottle is still full.

Anointing, not perfume

Perfume is mostly alcohol, built to fill a room. This is pure plant oil worn on the pulse, the way frankincense and sandalwood have been worn for three thousand years. Each time you raise your wrist, it brings you back to the quiet.

How it wears

A natural oil with no synthetic fixatives, so it wears close and quiet. The bright frankincense lifts for an hour or two; sandalwood and resin stay near the skin longer. Touch it to warm pulse points, reapply when you want it again. That closeness is the point.

Wonderful. A beautiful scent. I love these scents.

Olga, Poland

Breathing it in, peace returns. A sense of safety returns.

Teresa, Katowice

Of everything I tried, Jade and Inner Sanctum resonated with me the most.

Why this oil is different

There’s perfume, and there’s anointing.

From what the world learned to call fragrance, back to the older thing it forgot.

Perfume sprayed to project across a room, an illustration
What perfume became

Perfume is built to fill a room.

Mostly alcohol and synthetic molecules, made to be noticed from across a room. Worn outward, for everyone but you. Most of it has never been near a plant.

Pure plant oil touched to the pulse, the older act of anointing, an illustration
The older act

Anointing is worn on the skin.

Before perfume, there was oil. Pure plant oil, touched to the pulse, the wrists, the crown of the head. Worn close, for the one wearing it. Not to announce you. To ready you.

The Inner Sanctum bottle, frankincense and sandalwood blended by one hand, an illustration
This bottle

Frankincense and sandalwood, the oldest two.

Anointed onto skin for three thousand years. Omani frankincense in three distillations, Indian sandalwood beneath, a breath of rose and jasmine. Blended by one hand, no alcohol, nothing synthetic.

What an anointing oil is

Worn on the pulse

Touched to the wrists, the throat, behind the ears. Where the skin runs warm, the scent comes alive.

No alcohol

Pure botanical oil. Nothing to sting, nothing sprayed. It melts into the skin, it doesn’t sit on top.

Close and quiet

Not made to fill a room. Made for the moment you turn inward. A scent kept close, like a prayer.

Perfume is for the room. This is for you.

What is on the label is what is in the bottle.

Inner Sanctum by candlelight, the stillness before you turn inward
The stillness

It was never about smelling of something. It’s about where a single breath can take you.

For meditation this will be mandatory. Breathing it in, I immediately feel as if I'm sitting in a temple at the end of the world. Paweł P., Poland Verified buyer
The scent

How it opens, breath by breath.

Frankincense first, three ways, then the wood beneath it all.

Top · the first breath

Bright, lemony frankincense

Fresh and lifted, almost citrus: the lemony top of steam-distilled Omani frankincense, the part few expect from incense.

It lifts you.
Heart · as it warms

Resin, and a soft floral

The frankincense deepens, balsamic and resinous, the smell of the temple. A soft breath of rose and jasmine meets it, never perfumey. Incense that breathes.

It steadies you.
Base · as it settles

Creamy Indian sandalwood

It settles into sandalwood, soft and milky, a whisper of resin underneath. You stop smelling it and start feeling it.

It holds you.
Lemon and pine Resin and rose Sandalwood

Bright at the top, resinous at the heart, creamy at the base. Worn close, not loud.

Sho, founder of Sacrasoul, who blends Inner Sanctum by hand in Dhofar, Oman
Dhofar, Oman · Boswellia sacra, the frankincense of the ancient trade
Where it comes from

Blended by one hand, in Oman.

I grew up in Salalah, on the frankincense coast of Oman, where the resin goes on the coals every morning. That scent raised me. Everything I make begins with it.

Inner Sanctum is our own frankincense in three distillations, the bright, the resinous, the balsamic, set over Indian sandalwood. A breath of rose and jasmine to soften the resin, a whisper of labdanum and oud for depth. I blend it by hand and let it settle. Nothing synthetic, nothing hurried. When it is right, it reaches you.

I didn’t make it to fill a room. I made it for the quiet, just before you turn inward.

The rarity

A blend, not a
note.

Most oils are one material. This is eight, brought together by one hand.

Eight noble materials Three distillations of frankincense, Indian sandalwood, rose, jasmine, labdanum, oud. Each rare on its own.
15 to 30 years How long Indian sandalwood grows before its heartwood gives oil. It waits beneath everything.
One hand Material by material, in small batches, in Oman. It cannot be rushed, and it cannot be scaled.

No synthetic fixatives, nothing stretched to last longer than it should. Just noble materials, and the patience to let them meet.

The ritual

Three ways to wear it.

One small bottle, worn close. Each takes seconds. The quiet it leaves stays a while.

Good to know

Before your first drop.

Is this a perfume or an anointing oil?

An anointing oil, a different thing entirely. Perfume is alcohol and synthetics made to project. This is pure plant oil worn on the pulse, the way frankincense and sandalwood have been worn for three thousand years. You will smell it when you raise your wrist, in the quiet through the day. That closeness is the point.

How long does it last on my skin?

Honestly, it wears close and quiet, not loud across a room. It is a natural oil with no synthetic fixatives, so the bright frankincense lifts for the first hour or two, and the sandalwood and resin stay near the skin longer. Touch it to warm pulse points and reapply when you want it again. If you want a scent that lives on your skin and stays with you in the quiet moments, this is exactly that.

Will people smell it on me?

Worn close, it stays yours. It is a skin scent, an aura you carry rather than a trail you leave. Worn on warm pulse points it blooms with your body heat. Not made for the room, made for the moment.

Can I put it straight on my skin?

For most skin, yes. This is a pure, concentrated blend of natural oils, worn a touch at a time on the pulse points: the cap carries a slender glass wand, draw it out, touch it to the skin, done. If your skin runs dry or sensitive, mix your drop into a little carrier oil first, jojoba or sweet almond, since dry skin makes less of its own oil to buffer a concentrated one and it may irritate. Either way, try a little on the inside of your wrist first and give it a day. Keep it from the eyes, and if you are pregnant or nursing, ask your doctor first.

Why is it £60 for 3 ml?

Because it is pure oil, not mostly alcohol. A spray bottle is largely alcohol and water around a little scent. This is concentrated botanical oil, blended by hand from noble materials, worn a touch at a time. You need so little that one small bottle lasts.

How long will one bottle last?

A touch or two on the pulse is all it takes. Used daily, a 3 ml bottle lasts around two to three months.

Can I try it first?

Yes. The 0.3 ml sample is real oil from the same batch, enough to wear it several times before you decide. Choose it in the size picker above. It also makes a small, serious gift.

What is inside it?

Omani frankincense in three distillations (a lemony steam-distilled top, a deep resinous CO2, a dark balsamic), Indian sandalwood, a breath of rose, and a whisper of labdanum and oud for depth. The rose is a breath, not the lead; frankincense and sandalwood carry it. No alcohol, no synthetics. Blended by hand.

What is an anointing oil?

The oldest way to wear scent: pure plant oil on the skin, no alcohol. Frankincense and sandalwood, the materials inside this bottle, were anointing oils thousands of years before the word perfume existed.

A temple at the end of the world

I just unpacked Inner Sanctum and I can't stop smelling it. This scent is divine. Strong, yes, with a real element of dry rose. For meditation this will be mandatory, I immediately feel as if I'm sitting in a temple at the end of the world. My wife says the scent changes every moment, from sweetness to something fleeting.

Peace returns, safety returns

I have worked a lot with plant medicine, and these scents connect inside me with that. When the package came I was in heaven, every scent its own. In a very hard season, breathing this in, peace returns, and a sense of safety returns. The best money I have spent.

Wonderful, and I want more

Wonderful. A beautiful scent. A pity it lasts rather briefly, do you have anything longer-lasting? But either way, congratulations, it is very beautiful. I love these scents and I am waiting for the next ones.

Thank you, Olga. Inner Sanctum is an anointing oil rather than a perfume. It has no synthetic fixatives, so it stays close and quiet instead of projecting. Touch it to warm pulse points and return to it through the day, that is how it gives its best. — Sho

Doesn't last all day, and I don't mind

Honestly it doesn't last all day, and I don't care. It's an oil, not a spray. A touch on the wrist in the morning and it's mine, close and quiet, the frankincense bright at first and then the sandalwood settling in. I reapply after lunch like a small ritual.

SacrasoulShoFounder, Sacrasoul

This is exactly how it is meant to be worn. A natural oil stays close and asks to be returned to, and that returning is part of it. Thank you for understanding it so well. — Sho

Dry skin, one extra minute

My skin runs dry and sensitive, so I mix the drop into a little jojoba first, the way the FAQ suggests. The scent does not change, it just sits softer, and my skin is happy. Worth that one extra minute.

SacrasoulShoFounder, Sacrasoul

That is exactly right. It is a concentrated natural blend, and dry or sensitive skin is happiest with a drop in a little jojoba or sweet almond. It wears just as true. — Sho

Sits with the best attars I own

I have a shelf of attars and this sits with the best of them. The frankincense is the real thing, lemony then deep and resinous, and the sandalwood underneath is so soft and milky. Better than bottles that cost three times as much, and more honest than most.

The sample sold me

Bought the sample first because 3 ml felt small. Wrong. A little goes so far, one touch and it's there all evening close to the skin, and now I've ordered the full bottle. The sample sold me.

It arrived like something cared for

The box, the glass, the oil. It arrived like something someone had cared about. My husband leans in every time and asks what it is. It's a skin scent, so it finds the person close to you rather than filling the room.

First anointing oil I've owned

First anointing oil I've ever owned. I put a touch on before I sit in the morning and the room in my head goes quiet. Frankincense really does something. It begins bright and lemony and then settles into a warm resin and wood I keep breathing in.

The three distillations are doing real work

A connoisseur's note: the three frankincense distillations are doing real work here. The steam-distilled top is bright, the CO2 gives it that resin depth, and the dark balsamic holds the base. Composed, not thrown together. My only wish is a slightly bigger bottle.

Living here you get used to strong perfume oils, and a lot of it is dressed up. This is honest. A single touch, close to the skin, and it lasts the whole evening without shouting. My mother, hard to impress with scent, asked me to order her one.

The sandalwood at the end is the part I love

It opens bright and almost citrusy, which surprised me from an incense oil, and then it warms into resin. But it's the base I love, that creamy Indian sandalwood, soft and close. You stop smelling it and start just feeling it.

My first attar, and I'm hooked

The smell of the temple, in a bottle

The heart of this is proper frankincense, balsamic and resinous, the smell of the temple. There's a soft floral that comes through to meet it, gentle, never perfumey. Incense that breathes. Worth every bit of the price.

A touch on each wrist and I don't reach for anything else. It's quiet, it stays close, so people lean in rather than smell it across the room. Two friends asked what I was wearing and went a bit quiet when I said it was an anointing oil, not a perfume.
