Bitter orange, pine
Sharp and green, like peel broken between the fingers. It is the part people do not expect from frankincense.
Frankincense to ground. Rose to lift.
Worn together, they become a third scent.
The King is our Jade Frankincense Oil, distilled in Salalah. The Queen is Rose Otto, from the terraces of Jabal Akhdar. Six millilitres and three, in glass, with no carrier and no perfume. Worn every day, or given as one gift that says it without words.
The jade frankincense carries citrus and cool resin, the rose opens with honey and petal. Together they stay close to the skin rather than filling a room.
Until now I never liked frankincense oil. The ones I had met were heavy, overwhelming. This one is different. You can simply feel the green in the scent. I have never encountered such a beautiful oil.

However you like. A drop of the King at the wrist and a drop of the Queen at the throat make a third scent neither has alone. Plenty of people wear the frankincense in the morning and the rose at night.
No. These are two pure oils, with no alcohol, no carrier and no fragrance composition. They stay close to the skin rather than filling a room, so if you want something loud this is not it.
We will not guess that for you. One drop is one wearing, and how many drops a day only you know. The bottles are glass, with a wand in the cap that lifts one drop at a time, so you take exactly as much as you want.
This is the version made to be given. Each oil arrives in its own hinged box, resting in its own velvet bed, with no price list inside. The pair can be given together, or either one on its own.

The two oils alone are $210.
The boxes, their velvet and their clasps come with them.
Frankincense is the depth, the dark wood and smoke, the note that grounds. Rose is the light on top, warm and floral. Apart, each is beautiful. Together the frankincense gives the rose a floor to stand on, and the rose gives the frankincense a glow, and the result is one scent that becomes your own.

Neither oil is a composition. Each is one plant, distilled. What follows is what the plant does on skin, in the order it does it.

Sharp and green, like peel broken between the fingers. It is the part people do not expect from frankincense.

The citrus burns off and the tear itself comes up, sweet and dry at the same time. This is the heart of it.

What is left on the wrist at the end of the day. Quiet, faintly green, closer to skin than to scent.

Cooler than you expect a rose to be. This is the hour it was picked, before the sun reached the terrace.

Full, deep, unmistakably a real rose rather than the idea of one. One drop is the whole dose.

It thins into something warm and almost edible. This is the part that meets the frankincense.
Nothing to light, nothing to spray. The glass wand in the cap lifts one exact drop at a time: the King to the pulse, the Queen to the throat, and the air between them does the rest.
Before the day starts. One drop straight from the wand onto the pulse, rubbed once, then left alone. It reads cool for a minute and then settles.
→ Clear head, no announcement
A drop onto two fingertips first, then pressed to the hollow of the throat. Warmer skin opens the rose faster, which is why it goes here and not beside the other one.
→ One drop is the whole dose
An hour in, the two find each other in the air around you. That is the third scent, and it is the one part you do not perform.
→ Nothing left to do
Dhofar, Oman · among the Boswellia sacra
I grew up with frankincense. In Oman, when a baby is born, they fill the room with it, and for years I did not realise what I had been given. The oil was the easy half of this pair.
The rose took longer. It grows two thousand metres up on the terraces of Jabal Akhdar, and it is picked before sunrise, because by nine the heat has taken half of it. I put a drop of that next to a drop of ours, and the two did something neither did alone.
I did not design this pairing. I found it, and then I stopped changing it.
A pure oil is worn for the breath, not the trail. The King starts the morning, and what is left at the wrist by evening is a faint cool wood. The Queen is for the night, brighter and closer. Or wear both at once. That is when the third scent appears.
That depends on how often you reach for them, so we will not give you a false number of days. The glass wand lifts one exact drop, and one drop is enough for one wearing. The morning bottle holds 6 ml; the evening bottle 3 ml.
Because nothing is diluted to fill a larger bottle. The King is a pure distillation of rare green resin from Salalah. The Queen is Rose Otto from the terraces of Jabal Akhdar, picked before sunrise and distilled the same morning, and one bottle takes thousands of petals. You are paying for what touches the skin, not for a carrier.
Yes, and in Oman it always has been. Rose Otto is not the sweet powdery rose the West sells as feminine. It is green at the start, deep in the middle and honeyed at the end, and under the frankincense it reads as warmth rather than as a flower. If you are still unsure, start with a drop of the King alone and add the Queen once it has settled.
Pure plant oils are concentrated and every skin reacts differently. Patch test a small area on the inner forearm first and wait 24 hours. Do not use on broken skin or near the eyes or lips; if irritation appears, wash it off and stop using it.

Most simply leave the stars. Here is what some of them took the time to write.
I found your oils and this rose, and to say they are wonderful is to say nothing at all. The frankincense scent I keep feeling all day, and the rose smells as if I were standing among rose bushes warmed by the sun. Delicate yet strong. For me it also matters who I buy from, and with you I felt only goodness and warmth.
The Jade oil and its packaging are simply beautiful. Now I will slowly test all the beautiful things from you, and I will share my impressions soon.
I had the chance to try it, and I am keeping the oil. It reminds me of a journey to Jerusalem, and it has a truly wonderful scent. Such a good product.
I picked up the parcel yesterday. The scent is wonderful, and it was worth the wait.
Until now I never liked frankincense oil. The ones I had met were heavy, overwhelming. This one is different. You can simply feel the green in the scent. I have never encountered such a beautiful oil.
I start each morning with the frankincense oil now, it has become my small ritual. My wife said that even though I am a man, the Rose Otto suits me. I gave a rose to a friend as well, who is saving it for special days. I like floral scents.
A drop of the King on my wrist and the Queen at my throat, and by the second breath I have softened a little. The frankincense keeps me steady, the rose warms it. I put them on now before I even make coffee.
I bought the pair for my sister and then couldn't part with it, so I ordered a second one for her. Two little bottles, a King and a Queen, arriving together in one box. It is the loveliest thing I have given, and the loveliest I have kept.
I wear a drop of each before I see clients. The frankincense settles the room in me, the rose keeps it warm. More than one person has told me I smell like calm, and I don't correct them.
I have worn cheap frankincense oils cut with carrier, and rose that was mostly perfume, and the nose knows in a second. This rose went cloudy in the cold and cleared in my hands, that wax is the rose's own. The frankincense reads green, not that flat church note. Both are the real thing.
My husband gave me the pair for our anniversary, and he has never once chosen a scent I liked. This time he got it right. I wear the King on ordinary days and both of them when I want to feel like myself again.
Both oils are beautiful, truly. The one thing to know is that they stay close to the skin rather than filling a room, so if you want something loud this is not it. For me that is the point, it is mine and not for everyone around me. A single drop lasts my whole evening.
Meant it as a gift for my wife and now I am the one reaching for the frankincense every morning. Did not expect that.
The first time I tried the rose straight from the drawer it was shy, almost waxy. A friend told me to warm the bottle in my hand first, and then it opened completely. Now the two of them are my evening. Wish someone had told me sooner.
